In this thread we'd like you to give us your own brief summary (i.e. no more than 200 words) of the views expressed on the mylifemyid site.

Don't want, won't have.

Who needs 200 words?

Re: mylifemyid - your summary

It's interesting that most of the comments have been against the National ID and the site has allowed most of these and not deleted them. The comments are very much at odds with the feedback from Shooters Hill School who launched the site.

Many people, myself included have vented our rage against the ID towards Virtual Surveys. The fact that the site excludes the larges proportion of adults based on age is surely illegal. Recent events such as the Lisbon Treaty., more recently 500Billion of our money being given to the banks against our will shows that this site will make no difference.

In fact it looks to me and probably to most people posting here that the site is just here to influence young minds. Young people in favour of the ID card mostly say that they are in favour of something that will allow them to buy alcohol and other age restricted items. A lesson from that would be to require everyone to show ID for alcohol and tobaco, then more people would be in favour of the ID. Perhaps when we have a food shortage we will show our ID's for our food rassons then everybody will love the ID card.

The site is a curates egg, good in parts. But if we do want a single judgement on the site: It's government properganda directed at the youth.

Hi wakeupfool,
Thanks for the feedback.
If you could summarise the views posted by people on this site about the National Identity Scheme, what would you say?

Hello Matt Laughing

You want us to help you with your homework.

OK, you won't use this, you will cherry pick a nice happy positive towards ID scheme summary.

"MyLifeMyID site has successfully shown that young people are overwhealmingly against the National ID Scheme. Well done MyLifeMyID."

or

"MyLifeMyID is democracy in action, young people are vehmontly against any sort of ID Scheme"

"MyLifeMyID- we just wanna be free, we wanna get loaded, we just wanna good time" -paraphrase of Primal Scream sample of the Monkeys.

This is based on them not wanting ID cards (be free), wanting ID to buy alcohol (get loaded), not that interested in all this boring stuff anyway (good time).

Matt, do you get it yet? Do you need to ask and ask until someone says something nice about the ID Scheme?

Re: mylifemyid - your summary

ID cards are expensive, intrusive, uneccessary and just plain wrong.

That about sums up the opinions I've seen here.

No accountability in the system.

No respect for the publics decision making.

 No regard for proper democracy.
